Video Bonanza: Insane Wrecks, Saves, and Wheelstands From the 2012 YellowBullet Nationals

While the US Nationals was a rain filled disaster, the YellowBullet Nationals held at Cecil County Dragway was another epic success. With a huge field of doorslammers in every shape and size imaginable and thousands of fans in attendance to watch, the YB Nats are a totally established event that will continue to grow into the future. One of the reasons that the growth will continue is because of the total craziness on the strip. Like all small tire races, there are hundreds of cars trying to jam insane amounts of power through small tires and basic suspension packages. That results in a completely unpredictable situation on virtually every run.

The fistful of videos below are just a few of the thrills, spills, and chills from the 2012 YellowBullet Nationals. Announcing commitments kept both Chad and I away from the event this year, but we both had friends there racing like my pal Jon Sandahl of the Tube Chassis Designz chassis shop we frequent and you frequently see on these pages. He was the number one qualifier in the 8.50 index class and went a couple of rounds before getting knocked out. He said the event was epic.
