As you read this, Chad is on the edge of the Bonneville salt flats with the more than 100 participants in the 2012 Goodguys Rodfather tour, helping to wrangle them all for a massive group photo. In case you haven’t been following, the Rodfather Tour is a hot rod cruise that began at the Goodguys show in Pleasanton, California and will terminate at the Goodguys show in Indianapolis, Indiana. Roy Brizio is leading the way on this huge trip and there are lots of cool stops and adventures along the way.

As cool as all of the cars are, the people make trips and adventures like this. As is the case on Drag Week, friendships are forged, and memories are made that will last a lifetime. Many of the dudes on this trip have been hot rodding longer than we’ve been alive, so the history here is awesome, too. Chad caught up with a few of the participants and picked their brain about their history in the hobby and why they’re on the trip.
