Running around a road course is fickle business. One second you’re
feeling like Fangio and the next you are feeling like one of the flying
Walendas as your race car hurtles through the air. Such was the case
with this guy and his Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
Willow Springs is a neat road course out in California, and in this
video the track appears to be hosting a time attack or open track day of some
sort. The driver of the Evo is working himself up to speed around the
track (though you can see him turn in way too early on nearly every corner) and just before the “big finish” is making some pretty good
steam.
Make sure you hang around to the end of the video because there are
some stills that show just how incredibly jacked up the car is after
the wreck.
