What ever happened to pulling a hole shot at a light or maybe a little fishtail action leaving a parking lot or something? Why do today’s kooky kids need to act like complete death wish numbnuts when getting their automotive kicks? Take the person, which we assume is a kid, in this video. He’s got a Nissan 350Z complete with an installed but unpainted body kit. Instead of doing a relatively low speed burnout or even blowing a donut or two in a parking lot, he’s going to treat this road like the world drift championships. There’s only a slight problem. This kid really sucks at both high speed driving and drifting.
The driver has a huge head of steam, takes the car into the corner with a ton of speed (and it looks like there is another “racer” behind him) and instead of getting the car to the inside of the corner, allowing a lot of room to DRIFT (see what we did there?) out, he follows an outside line that sees the car slide into a high curb. It hits that high curb hard enough to get all four wheels off the ground and cause obvious, and probably fatal damage to the Nissan. If this car wasn’t completely totaled out, the car was damned close. We hope the driver was strapped in because if he wasn’t, they had to have gotten hurt.
Of the dumb things we did as kids in cars, none of it was as stupid and dangerous as this.

A local motorcyclist was recently killed by someone “drifting”.
What a complete idiot, keep it on the track. From the looks of his mismatched rear bumper and lack of front bumper, doesn’t look like the first time he’s done that.

It was only plastic….besides we have all done stuff much more dangerous and stupid on the highway/side streets. From roll racing, drag racing, top speed runs, running from the cops etc.
