We’re gearing up for our epic live broadcast of the 2010 Holley NHRA Hot Rod Reunion this weekend and decided to seek some vintage Hemi footage for a reason. One of the facets of the race we are most looking forward to is the Mopar Hemi Challenge which will pit a field of the best SS/AH cars against each other in heads-up warfare. 

The mystique behind those SS/AH cars comes from one place of course, and that’s under the hood. While the vast majority of cars competing in the category today are not original “Hurst” Hemi cars, they are all playing by the same rules and all running that big elephantine engine beneath their hoods. Consider this video a small primer for what’s to come late this week and this coming weekend!
