Warp Zone: Finnegan’s Twin-Turbo Jet Boat Hits The Water!

Warp Zone: Finnegan’s Twin-Turbo Jet Boat Hits The Water!

Mike Finnegan came to fame as the co-host of Roadkill, but among the man’s many different facets of interest, the one that is the strangest in my eyes is that the dude drag races boats. This isn’t just me being ignorant. If anything, I understand completely why racing a boat is something to worry about. Growing up near Seattle, one thing that always stood out in my head were the crashes that occurred during the hydroplane races at Seafair. I’m one of those people what doesn’t see the value in hauling major tail on the water. Cruising is fine, but when we’re talking speeds that would be eye-opening on land, on water that becomes the reason why your life insurance agent has started day-drinking heavily.

When Finnegan displayed his 2017 Placecraft boat known as “Game Over” at SEMA, even he admitted that he’s quite concerned about what it will be capable of. With 711 cubic inches of Sonny Leonard power and two great big tornado makers force-feeding the mighty mill, Finnegan is right to claim he’s nervous about putting the power down. If it were me, I’d get nervous if a butterfly flapped it’s wings anywhere near the throttle handle. I say that now because for the first time, Game Over will be in the water, under it’s own power. That’s right, Mike has buckled down and has gotten the heavily flaked water skipper up and going! Here’s what all was done to go from the garage beauty queen to the loudest thing heard on the water in all of Georgia…

Man that aint no shit!. Must have big$ parents. Cant believe You Tube pays him that much. That’s got to be a $75,000 engine in just the boat.

$75000 for that engine is probably conservative. But hey, Finnegan Is one of the coolest, most real gear heads out there and if he can work it out more power to him! I just hope he doesn’t kill him self in that beast. A 711 ci, twin turbo Hemi in a Placecraft hull is pretty sketchy.

Yeah, he’s spent a lot, but I don’t know if people realize he’s been working on this boat for like 8 years. Don’t think it was all that money right away
