Watch A Gnarly 1972 Corvette Tear Through the Goodguys Autocross – This Car Rules

As you all know, Chad is the announcer for the Goodguys autocrosses that happen all over the country. Last weekend he was in Columbus, Ohio calling the action on a challenging course that had competitors running at full speed through the cones. While chatting on the phone, he mentioned a 1972 Corvette that he was in love with. He claimed that the car was fast as hell, loud, and pretty to boot. As you’ll hear him announcing in this video, it was apparently a former SCCA road racing car that has been put back on the street and probably performs better with modern technology than it did as a race car back in the day! His powersliding finish is a really nice touch to an awesome run.

Videos like this one have us all geared up on attacking the suspension upgrades on Buford T Justice, our Caprice. We’ve been gathering the components and are waiting on the last few pieces before we blow the car apart and give it a new attitude and a whole new cornering skill set with larger wheels, big meats, and a full suspensions system from Hotchkis.

Press play below and put yourself in the seat of this totally kick ass 1972 Corvette!
