Watch A Ratty Old Dodge Truck Completely Spit A Rear Axle Out From Under Itself During A Burnout

A lot of us joke that our junk is always on the verge of falling to pieces, but the fact is that there are a lot of cars on the road that are literally on the verge of falling to pieces. This old Dodge pickup was one of them before some parking lot burnout hi-jinx resulted in the pickup ass dragging on the ground and the rear axle resting comfortably a few feet behind the truck. The dude filming catches the truck as it does its burnout and as it is pulling by him, tires smoking. We lose the truck for a second but hear a sickening CRUNCH and wen the smoke clears, there’s the axle with leaf spring parts strewn about like tongue depressors!

How does the axle completely free itself from the truck? Maybe one of the springs hangers broke and the resulting shock load on the others was too great and they all decided to retire at the same time? Who knows but this is one funny scene with everyone just kind of walking around, looking at the mess, and thinking, “Who in the hell is going to clean all this up?!” The nine and a quarter inch rear end looks ripe for the picking sitting there all along in a parking lot.

Yes, the editing and filming of this video looks rough but the good news is that the pay off is well worth the price of admission. Stick with this one and you will totally dig it.

Opps! forgot to blot the axle to the springs.
I hope he those tires are on there just for the video. But from what I saw of the front tires I doubt it.

Well, the one good part of the vehicle is now out of it and ready for a more deserving home.
