Watch a Winged Sprint Car Pull a Massive Power Wheelie Down The Front Straight of a Dirt Track!

If you’ve never seen winged sprint cars in action, this video should get your juices flowing enough to start seeking out local race dates. The cars are dirt borne rockets that act like no other cars on Earth. In this video you’ll see Michigan based racer Dustin Daggett running his 360ci winged sprint car at an unnamed dirt track. Daggett is leading the race at the start of the video and even more wild, he’s also leading it at the end.

What happens in the middle is a perfect demonstration of the power and unpredictable nature of winged sprints. As Daggett comes out of turn for sideways, he lays the lumber to the alcohol fed Garete 360ci engine in the car and it dead hooks, climbs the ring gear and looks like it is trying to take off like a plane! Daggett, proving why sprint car drivers rule as much as their cars, keeps his foot planted right into it and carries the wheelie, while accelerating, down 80% of the straight! You’d think that such antics would cost him the lead position he had, but they didn’t. Although his line was wonky into the turn, he managed to maintain and perhaps even grow his lead!

This is a quick and awesome video. We watched it like five times!
