Watch The Old School Lon Ranger and Showtime Monster Trucks Throw Down 1980s Style In The Modern Day

They were impressive not for their limber nature, not for their ability to fly, and not for their incredibly advanced chassis. No, the classic monster trucks were impressive for their sheer size and mass. They were lumbering giants that turned the biggest and strongest cars that Detroit had ever made into steel pancakes and they did it with shiny paint, KC Hi-Lites, and rumbling exhaust. They did it with steel bodies, varying wheelbases, four shocks per corner, and big Firestone tires that came from the agricultural world. If only they would do it again? What if we told you that they are!

The video you are about see below was made recently and it features the trucks Lon Ranger and Showtime in an old school crushing exhibition that we think stole the show from the modern trucks and their freestyle  antics. There’s nothing wrong with the new trucks but there’s everything right with the old ones. What’s so satisfying to see those tires clawing their way onto a hood or roof only the watch it buckle? The classic move of the driver popping out of the door to get the crowd’s approval for his destructive charge. It’s all here and the crowd goes wild.

Enjoy this modern trip into the monster trucking past. This REALLY put a smile our face and brought back some great memories. Now its time to find out where this series is running next!
