You can control your speed, your distance to everything around you, and you can be as attentive as you possibly can be, but one variable that you cannot control behind the wheel is a random act of nature. You know not to drive into floodwater. You know that snow and ice will make your car turn into a ballerina act if you don’t prepare and plan ahead. And you know damn well and good that if Jim Cantore has been seen in your town being followed by a cameraman, that driving is the last freaking thing you need to think about unless it’s a drive five states away from wherever the hell you currently reside. But you can’t help that random animal that darted out in front of you with three feet to spare. You can’t help that hail wasn’t on the forecast as your car is being turned into a gigantic golf ball, and if you’re the driver of this Ford SUV, you sure as hell couldn’t have predicted what they got.

This video comes from Tibet, where the unlucky Ford driver found themselves in the path of a rockslide. Rather, they found themselves right in the path of a boulder that was damn near the size of the car itself. You want to know how they can consider themselves lucky? The giant rock nailed the SUV on the hood, right about where the engine should be and kept on going along it’s way, with nobody inside the car injured. Without a doubt, that Ford is done. The seats probably are, too. But everybody walked away from this one unscathed. That’s lucky.
