Will A One-Inch Cordless Impact Gun Start This Ancient Tractomotive? Will It Start At All?

Will A One-Inch Cordless Impact Gun Start This Ancient Tractomotive? Will It Start At All?

Have you ever looked at something sitting in the weeds and with a sigh, thought to yourself, “Yup…that sucker ain’t ever running again”? The car that is up to it’s hubs in dirt, the old farm truck that has been sitting in the field so long that Google is now using it as a waypoint on Maps…those kinds of projects. You doubt the engine will turn over without someone packing a cylinder full of plastic explosives, let alone with a hand crank or some poor sucker hanging off of the far end of the breaker bar that has “I’m Done Talking” engraved on it. You don’t want to know what’s in the fuel tank…or the oil sump…or the cab, for that matter. Do you still find yourself wanting to try to fire it up? Ok, this video is for you.

DeBoss Garage recently got themselves a new toy to play with: a Milwaukee one-inch cordless electric impact gun. The thinking: can this impact gun turn over the engine of an ancient Tractomotive? This thing looks like it was rigged up to be a snow plow for years, but today it’s simply an ancient lump of metal with a narrow cab, and a determined Canadian named Rich who is hell-bent on hearing this thing make noise, even if it means that he’s going to be wearing the milkshake sludge that comes blasting out of what’s left of the exhaust.
