This YouTuber Had “The Cheapest AMG Mercedes” Stolen And Recovered In A Week – Check Out His Story!

Thieves suck. Period. Doesn’t matter what they took, doesn’t matter why they took it. Though, it must be said: stealing an Internet famous Mercedes in a rare color from a guy who knows every last detail about said vehicle had to be one of the dumbest things we’ve ever heard of, ever.

The YouTuber is Tyler Hoover. He works for AutoTrader and runs his Hoovies Garage YouTube channel on the side. Just recently, we discovered his channel and had seen the last video he did for this 2000 Mercedes AMG ML55, where he did a one-year review on the high-end, hot rod Merc SUV that he had bought for $3,500 and sunk a few grand into repair costs to bring it back up to spec. To be fair, while the Bourbon Metallic Merc isn’t our cup of tea, we can get behind a guy who looks for run down vehicles, fixes them up and shows them off…it’s not quite hot-rodding, but it’s still very respectable.

Unfortunately for Tyler, as the ML55 was being detailed, some jagoff walked up to the detail shop, hopped in, and disappeared. And for a week, Hoover went on a media blitz to locate the Mercedes. Luckily, with the help of the public and after the ML55 was involved in a police chase, the Merc was found, pretty much intact, with a few paint scratches and some underwear in the back…for a stolen vehicle, that qualifies as a happy ending.
