Just the other day, I was having a conversation with a friend regarding the willingness we both had over buying a complete engine from eBay. At the end, both of us were thinking that we didn’t have the stones to pull the trigger on a built, high performance engine we never saw with our own two eyes or laid our hands on…then I found this. Admittedly, if I had the money I would buy this thing in a heartbeat and then find something to put it in. I have never seen a supercharged 215ci Buick engine before, let alone one wearing a cool little shortie 4-71 huffer and side draft Ingelese carbs!

In the eBay ad, there is no mention of horsepower or anything of that nature, just that the engine has had very limited run time and assurances that  it is being sold complete. The lightweight, all aluminum 215ci Buick engine was a revelation in its day. Although not a huge producer of horsepower, the motor’s lightweight and decent output made it awesome for swapping into small cars like Vegas, MGs and the like in later years. As stated above, I’ve never seen one with a roots blower on it, but I sure want this one!
