(Photos by Charles Wickam) – One of the great things about our man in Texas Charles Wickam is that he is like a photographic whack-a-mole. You never know where the guy is going to pop up. One week he’s shooting all kinds of traditional hot rods and customs, then he’s at the drags, and now we’re bringing you photos that he blasted at a major stock car racing event at Houston Motorsports Park. The event was a special double feature that showcased NASCAR modifieds, trucks, and various classes of stock cars, including the fun Ecostocks which are like little enduro cars that spend lots of time on three wheels around the oval.
Charles captures a couple of great spins, wrecks, and lots of door to door racing action along with photos in the pits and around the facility. While we don’t concentrate lots on stock car racing here on BS we certainly enjoy parking our asses in the stands at the local round track facilities for a night of cheap entertainment watching local heroes chase glory and a winner’s check. The open wheel modifieds are awesome to watch whether on a larger track like the facility at HMP or a little bullring.
