Our man Joe Grippo was on the scene for the “Geezers Reunion” which went down July 2-3, 2010 at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, PA. The race is one of the biggest and most ambitious self produced nostalgia drag races held around the country. The size and scope of the thing rivals the NHRA Heritage Series races. 

Featuring everything from a car show to a cacklefest this event is a monster and this year the action included nostalgia funny cars and fuel altereds as well. Joe was on the scene for all of it and we’ve posted nearly 300 of his photos in a monster gallery you can see by clicking on the link below.

With respect to results, Pete Gallen in the Poverty Stricken flopper, beat Phil Burkart in the Chicago-style eliminator for funnies. Marie Ferriolo won the Nostalgia Alky Funny Car category, and sportsman winners included, Dan Walleigh, Roy Croll, Dale Greenly, Kyle Rensbeck, Jerry Hangey, and Joe Morrison. Congrats to all who left with hardware!
