And if you want proof of that, or you’re just a fan of a weld that didn’t require time with the grinder to look presentable, let alone beautiful, then we have the perfect way to sink your afternoon: a collection of what can only be termed “weld porn”. The guy who owns “The Revival”, a Ford Super Duty that he brought back from the jaws of the crusher and rebuilt it into a genuinely beautiful work truck, is a huge fan of this collection, and one afternoon spent about an hour showing me some of the better selections that were on the site. I’ll be honest: the only time I’ve ever welded anything was when I was playing in an icy parking lot, the battery tie-down broke and the battery terminals welded themselves to the hood of my 1978 Chrysler LeBaron. That’s it. I haven’t intentionally welded jack shit, but after looking at this stuff…all I will say is that I need to learn, and that I need to remember that the people who did these have probably been welding for a long time and that I need to go get the grinder to finish my job up.
