Rebeldryver’s Project Updates! 1964 Galaxie gas gauge fix! Winterizing Our 1965 Impala SS.

Scott is back with project car updates! He’s been suffering from some project car burnout, which can catch up to anyone, but he’s back at it and ready to get the Impala all winterized as well as doing some fixes on the Mud Bomber. Which project do you like most?

Video Description:

We have been remiss in keeping up on our work on our project vehicles, specifically Project Mud Bomber 1964 Galaxie 500 and Project Evil Orchid 1965 Impala SS. I guess we got burned out at the end of summer and needed a break. Forgive us for that.

In this video, we continued trying to get a functioning gas on our 1964 Galaxie. After confirming the gauge itself wasn’t the problem, the wiring wasn’t the problem, we discovered the sending unit we replaced 6 years was the problem. We crawled under the car to find out why. We took our 65 Impala on Rocky Mountain Race Week, hurt the clutch on day 1, drove it around town a few times, but generally ignored it all summer.

We forgot it was still filled with straight water until the day the weather said it was going to be freezing, which could freeze and crack the block. We also started buying rust repair panels to fix long messed up quarter panels this winter.
