A couple years ago, Finnegan bought a new to him drag boat that he named Side Chick. And this boat was set to stay in California so that Mike could fly in and race it and have fun. But it just gave him headache after headache as the engine was just not good. It had all the right parts, and was supposed to be awesome, but unfortunately it wasn’t reliable and it caused all kinds of headaches and it turns out that lots of stuff was wrong. A lot of stuff. But was it fixable?
Well….
I could tell you the story, but why not let Finnegan and Pete do that for you.
Here you go.
Video Description:
Episode 327 brings back the 632ci Big-block Chevrolet engine that powers Side Chick, my carbon fiber jet boat. The is engine has been temperamental to say the least but I think we have finally turned a corner. With the help of Harrell Engine and Dyno in Mooresville, North Carolina, we have found the problems, upgraded important valvetrain parts and now the engine flat out rips! This video is all about Dyno-testing the engine and getting the carburetors adjusted right so the when the drag boat finally hits the water its ready to race.
