We first met Eddie Wilson on Rocky Mountain Race Week when he was driving his Pontiac with his kids. The Wilson family would become a staple in the Drag and Drive community after that first fateful trip that included an engine swap mid week. We’ve been friends ever since, so when we saw that our friend LT, aka Lawrence Tolman, was going to be working on Eddie’s latest ride, I was excited to see the video. This 1960 Opel Rekord belongs to Eddie, and it needs our help getting back into the 9’s in the 1/4 mile, and there are two problems that we need to solve. One is too high inlet air temps, and the other is a mismatched gear ratio.
