The much whispered about and wondered about 2010 Hot Rod Drag Week Project Sick Seconds Camaro of Denny Terzich is alive and we have the photos to prove it. The beautiful Camaro was making shakedown passes at Pittsburgh Raceway Park (if our eyes are right) and reeled off a 7.99 second lap on half the intended boost and 65% throttle position.
There has been open speculation about the car as of late. Hot Rod Drag Week is closing in and no one had seen or heard of the car hitting the track. Clearly they were finishing up the details and are now in the setup and tuning phase.
The Camaro will be battling head to head with Larry Larson’s incredible Chevy Nova which took the title last year. Larson’s car is capable of running in the six-second zone and by all appearances, Terzich’s Camaro should be there as well. Of course the ultimate test is being able to have the car run the numbers and survive the drive between tracks.
The beauty of Hot Rod Drag Week is the drive between the venues. You can be a six second hero one minute and the next be dead as a door knob on the side of the highway. We’ll be there on Drag Week this year, embedded, and bringing you the hottest news and information from all the tracks and the stops inbetween.
The clash of the titans is ON!
