When it comes to spark plugs, there are all kinds of claims as to which ones make more power, get better mileage, and make your engine run cleaner. And while Richard can’t test if they make a difference in mileage or how clean your engine runs, he can test the power part of this equation. Keep in mind that there are low dollar copper plugs, high dollar platinum plugs, and high dollar E3 plugs in this test and nearly all OE spark plugs are platinum or iridium nowadays because they last longer and maintain proper operation longer so that emissions stay good.
I say this because the price difference between these plugs can be significant and although it might not make a difference with regards to power, it might be worth it for your commuter ride.
