Does high-dollar oil make more power? We’re talking power, not longevity, as I am a believer that in certain applications there is an advantage to buying good oil. But I also know that most cars on the roads are fine with whatever slimy oil you pour into them. Of course, that does depend on the engine you have in your ride, as Direct Injection engines are harder on oil than their traditionally injected or carbureted engines. That’s a whole discussion for another day though.
