HOW TO CURE VALVE FLOAT & ADD 40-50 HP WITH A VALVE SPRING UPGRADE. AIR FLOW VS VALVE CONTROL!

Valve springs are pretty magical pieces of tech. They move jillions of times during their life and are there to do just one thing. To close the valve after the rocker arm opens it. While doing this they also hold the lifters to the cam and control valve motion. They are under a lot of stress when rpms get high and if they are not up to the task they can’t control the valve and that is when valve float occurs. So does that mean that if you have valve float then a valve spring upgrade will actually make real horsepower? The answer is yes. Watch.

Video Description:

HOW TO CURE VALVE FLOAT! DO I NEED A SPRING UPGRADE? WHAT HAPPENS TO AIRFLOW OR POWER? HOW MUCH SPRING PRESSURE DO I NEED? CAN I RUN TOO MUCH SPRING PRESSURE? WHY WON’T MY MOTOR REV? ARE STOCK SPRINGS STRONG ENOUGH? DOES A HYDRAULIC ROLLER CAM NEED MORE SPRING PRESSURE THAN A FLAT TAPPET? HOW CAN I CURE VALVE FLOAT OR (MORE ACCURATELY) LACK OF VALVE CONTROL? CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO WHERE I CURED TWO DIFFERENT SBF COMBOS OF VALVE FLOAT WITH A VALVE SPRING UPGRADE. THE RESULTS SHOW WHAT HAPPENED TO BOTH AIRFLOW (MEASURED WITH AN AIR HAT) AND POWER. GOOD STUFF.
