(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – Haven’t I mentioned how hard it is to classify cars for galleries…? More than once. If the automotive world had to rely on my skills to get it right it would be best to just give up trying. My definition is loosely based on it being 50s and 60s non-muscle cars. No sense splitting hairs here and I even included a DeLorean because I didn’t know where else to put it.
Few will argue a long-and-low tail-fin era Cadillac is not a classic and we have a couple fine examples in here. This collection features shoeboxes, sleds, Tri-5s, some British invaders, and even a V8-swapped Porsche 914. Perhaps my favorite car in this group is the last one pictured – a 1958 Chevy with that striking color combination and over all ‘classy’ look. The ‘58s are often overlooked, but I think they were a great transition model leading into a fuselage styles to come.
Enjoy and come back for more. We took a LOT of photos.
