2013 Detroit Autorama – Load In Day Gallery

2013 Detroit Autorama – Load In Day Gallery

(Photos by Ken Cox) – While we were out in California at the March Meet Ken Cox (and a couple of our other photo contributors, as you’ll see!) were in Detroit for the famed “Autorama”. This show has the full gamut from race cars to the vaunted Ridler Award contenders that represent the bleeding edge of hot rod beauty, tech, and fanaticism. Ken managed to sneak in during the load in day by wearing an afro wig, dark glasses, and a trench coat. Once inside he blasted photos of a lot of BangShift approved iron. We grabbed a highlight reel of his work and assembled a gallery of it. After you hit that link, come back and click the second one to see ALL of his photos from Cobo Hall’s staging area. The one thing that Ken can saw which most of the other photogs that shot the event can’t is that he heard all of this totally cool stuff run!

STAY TUNED TO TONS OF AUTORAMA PHOTOS FROM BS CONTRIBUTORS KEN COX, DOM DOMATO, AND JUSTIN ONEY!

Bob and I were there most of Saturday. This show was amazing, and the crowds were huge. Just when you thought you saw everything, you find out there was a basement full of even cooler stuff. The detour through downtown Detroit was not as entertaining.
