2016 Fall Carlisle Swap Meet Coverage: It Was Wet But There Were Deals Aplenty

2016 Fall Carlisle Swap Meet Coverage: It Was Wet But There Were Deals Aplenty

(Photos by Joe Grippo) – Every fall the massive Carlisle Swap Meet happens in Pennsylvania and draws gearheads from all over North America. This is a place to find cars, parts, memorabilia, and old stuff galore. Our man Joe Grippo was on the scene and while the weather was slightly more damp than anyone would have liked it to be, the people, the cars, the trucks, and the stuff were still there. Hardcore shoppers likely got great deals at the event because of the fact that the less intrepid gearheads of the world were probably at home wrapped up in a blanket drinking hot chocolate. Wussies!

You’ll see bikes, go karts, rotted cars, cool trucks, and even a wrecker that we featured as an eBay find a few weeks ago. That wrecker is incidentally one of the neatest and nicest we have ever seen. The ramp truck Chevrolet would be perfect to haul a bracket car around on and to move non-running projects as well.

Thanks to Joe and his wife for hitting the event despite the weather and sharing their photos with us. We’re always on the road for this deal and it stinks to miss it!
