UPDATE: Both Danny Thompson and George Poteet have set records in their classes this morning! Poteet rocketed down course at 410mph to grab his and Danny Thompson tool care of business at 402mph!
One of the things that we’re going to work hard to bring you each night at the conclusion of the day’s racing on the salt is The Scoop! This will be a list of the cars (and as many motorcycles as we can get in there as well) that have qualified for a record and will run the following morning to see if they can etch their spot in the most coveted list in land speed racing, that of SCTA record holders. We’ll include photos of the cars that we can shoot (some are covered up because their teams have headed for town already…we’ll skip those). The cars we do not have photos for we will still provide the information on them.

So as a quick guide, we’re going to give you the class, the existing class record and some brief information on the car. These photos were nabbed at the end of the day on Saturday in the impound lot at Bonneville….Ready? Set? GO!
