Attack Of The Mom Buggy: Watch This 5,000lb, Turbo Six Powered, All Wheel Drive Barge Run 9s At 140+!

This is one of those cars that we have always wanted to know more about because it has evolved right before our eyes on the internet. Thanks to that same internet, we now know the full story behind this Ford Territory SUV from Australia that is among the most sleepy 9-second cars on planet Earth. No foolin’. You are looking at a rig that is powered by a built Ford “Barra” inline six. Turbocharged and packing the same stock 4.0L stroke (and stock crank) it left the factory with, the engine makes tremendous power, having registered 965hp to the hubs on a hub dyno.

The transmission is a six speed ZF automatic unit that is build to the hilt but is also the same one that came in the car. The transfer case (this is all wheel drive) is basically stock but the unit is locked to give a perfect 50/50 power split front and rear. The car runs on stock Michelin SUV tires, it has 60′ times in the 1.50 range, it weighs more than 5,000lbs, and it’ll knock traps speeds of over 140mph out all day long.

This is not just a video of runs strung together. You’ll see the beastly thing make passes but most importantly you’ll meet the owner and get the full inside scoop on a car that has become internationally known since its days of running 11s and 12s a few years ago.

We think this is literally one of the coolest sleepers on Earth. Do you?
