Aeromotive Introduces The Dual Phantom – That’s Right, 2,000hp Fuel Support From Your Stock Tank

Yesterday we ran a story about the crazed engine that carried Larry Larson to a 6.16 elapsed time at Drag Week and set the world of street legal performance on its ear. The funny thing is that while the physical components of the engine are impressive and enough to make even the most hardcore gearhead drool, they’re nothing without the systems that actually feed it and this is true for every engine, not just Larry’s. The role of companies like Aeromotive is to provide those systems to allow the engine builders to dream ever bigger and of power levels that top what any of us though possible years ago and oh, they need to provide these components in shapes and sizes that fit the cars and projects that they are being used on. Well, just when you thought that they couldn’t do any better than the already awesome Phantom fuel pump system that converts any stock fuel tank into a 1,000hp capable fuel provider, they have done it again and effectively doubled down on their earlier success. How? Welcome to the world of the Dual Phantom and its 2,000hp capable flow, again, from a stock gas tank. This is flipping nuts in the best of ways.

Because drag week is so fresh in our mind, do you know how many guys would love to get rid of the big square tank in their trunk and go back to a stock tank under their car to free up room for storing gear, tires, tools, and whatever else? How many guys with romping, stomping street cars would prefer the look of a stock tank under their stuff (which also helps to keep up the ruse if you are meeting late at night on a back road somewhere for ahhhh….testing, right?). The company has basically released a photo of the product and some quick info which we will include below but look for a lot more information coming on this new piece over the next month as we close in on SEMA where they’ll be on full display.

2,000hp of fuel delivery capability from a stock gas tank. Yes, we just said that out loud.

READ WHAT AEROMOTIVE HAS TO SAY ABOUT THE PUMP HERE –

Here is the answer to all of your questions! We would like to introduce the latest in universal intank Stealth technology and the Phantom’s predecessor: the Dual Pump Phantom. This system can be installed in your stock tank and requires NO sumps or baffle. It can support up to 2,000 horsepower and does so with noise levels that rival OEM pumps. With dual electrical bulkheads, the twin 340 LPH pumps can be controlled independently, thus allowing usage in staged activation for lower recycling rates in higher horsepower applications or usage as a redundant system in harsh race environments. The new Dual Pump Phantom comes at you with attitude because what makes the original Phantom great….multiply that times two!#twinpumpphantom

This is a great product, and idea. Super easy to install. I get all that, It’s just I have not seen a product marketed more than these fuel pumps……….to me, not ever using one. If they are so great at what point do they sell themselves? When a product is marketed this hard and for this long make me question is it that good? Don’t get me wrong if I got one for free I would use it. Just a poor grease monkey thinking out loud……
