A properly functioning crankcase ventilation system is key to making sure your engine stays a happy camper. In a factory style setup the OEs use what is called a Positive Crankcase Ventilation system rather than just venting it out to the atmosphere. They do not cost horsepower, are simple and clean and are the system I recommend for anyone that isn’t building a race car. That’s why fittings like these from Earl’s are so good, because they help you keep a PCV system working properly, even on your modified LS engine. Hell, they are universal for other systems as well.
