Finnegan Found The Original Chassis For His ’63 Split Window Corvette! The Basement Vette Build Continues

Finnegan is back at it, and moving forward on a project people have been asking about a lot. We’re talking about the 1963 Corvette that he found not far from his house and that he has been debating on how to build. Originally he wanted a bad ass drag car, and then he talked about doing a pro touring machine, and then he talked about other stuff. It’s what we all do when we are building a new project. You sit around bench racing ideas and looking for inspiration online or in the magazines and then you try to make a decision and stick with it. This time he’s asking for all of our help in making the decision too, so if you have an opinion he wants you to share it.

Video Description:

Although brief, this video is full of good stuff because not only did I pick up the frame but also the front and rear suspension and original IRS rearend for my Vette. Episode 274 of Mike Finnegan’s Garage asks the important questions about this project car build, in particular what direction do we take it? Should it be a nostalgia drag car with vintage paint and lettering or a modern Pro Touring build with big power, huge brakes, and wide rubber? We could go vintage road racing vibe or with the right parts this could be a mild resto-mod type deal. I’d love to hear your opinion about the subject so feel free to wax poetic in the comment section about what to do with this collectible hot rod. Thanks for watching! Want to support the channel?
