With the ever growing popularity of the LS/LT engine platform, it’s no wonder this modern GM small-block seems to be everywhere. And if you are building an engine, or a new project, and you aren’t considering an LS engine, then folks act like you have lost your mind. And I get it, there is no doubt that an LS engine is a very reliable, capable, and powerful platform. And it is hard to argue with their cost effectiveness when you are trying to make 350 – 400 horsepower, as any junkyard LS will do this with nothing more than a cam swap.
