Which intake rules them all? Well to make that determination Richard Holdener put together a hot “little” 496 Stroker Big Block Chevrolet to strap to the dyno at Westech Performance Group to find out. It was a pretty standard type of 496 build, with good parts and pieces that were capable of making real power and staying alive. This is a naturally aspirated test at heart, but some boost just might find it’s way to the party as well, so making sure the 496 would stay happen no matter what was thrown at it was a smart move. It’s like Richard has done this before. So with a good running big block as the base, it was time for some serious intake manifold testing just like Richard knows how to do. With back to back testing real results can be found. And explanations as to why each intake does what it does, on this particular combination, will not only entertain you but also help you learn what you need to know in order to choose the right intake for your particular combination.
So watch along, laugh a little, learn a lot, and see this stroker 496 make big power on the pump. Oh, and Tunnel Rams rule!!!
Loved this. I
