Do roller rockers really make power? Sure they do. But how about on an LS engine that already has an ultra-efficient valvetrain? Is a trunion upgrade enough? Richard is testing not only roller rockers on the LS but also different ratio roller rockers to see if they make a difference on a typical 5.3 LS with a cam upgrade. I think this is going to be an interesting test, since I often tell people to spend money other places BEFORE worrying about upgrading rocker arms. So when do you have to make the jump to upgraded trick parts like the ones in the video?
Watch and tell us what you think.

CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO WHERE I COMPARED THE STOCK LS1 ROCKERS TO A SET OF COMP 1.85 ROLLER ROCKERS ON A 5.7L LS1 WITH A STOCK CAM. I ALSO COMPARED THE STOCK CAM TO A COMP XR275HR CAM. THE 2ND TEST DEMONSTRATED WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU ADD 1.8-RATIO ROLLER ROCKERS TO AN LS7 CAM ON A 5.3l.
