In The Market For A New Rearend For Your Ride? Before You Purchase A Rear End Housing…… WATCH THIS!

No matter where you purchase your rear-end housings from, there are some basic questions, measurements, etc that are required before you make an order. With that said, there are also some decisions to be made with regard to optional upgrades. These could include things like gussets, braces, and even materials themselves. After all, some applications might be well suited for a complete chromoly rear axle housing. Others might find that mild steel is really the better choice for them. Regardless of your application, there are scenarios that you need to consider before shopping. That’s why the guys at Tin Soldier race cars put together a video to address the most common questions they get from customers, along with some questions you might not have thought to ask.

I recently ordered a rear axle housing from Quick Performance for my 1956 Chevrolet Station Wagon. This rear housing needed to be narrower than stock, but needed to maintain stock rear mounting locations. In addition, we used LAMB Components symmetrical housing ends so that our brake caliper location was more customizable. When the time is right I’ll be filling the housing with a Texas Precision Performance third member that has a spool in it for my 40-spline gun-drilled axles, but your needs may vary.

So watch the video and decide what you need to ask when it is time to spec out your rear.
