We recently shared a video from Richard Holdener where he tested spark plug gaps to see if a tight gap vs a normal gap vs a super wide gap made any difference in horsepower in an LS engine. The answer is NO, it doesn’t make a difference as long as the spark is actually happening, but how about heat ranges? We all know that if you are running power adders then you run a different heat range than if you are running naturally aspirated, but does the head range change actually make more power?
Watch and find out, and then comment down below to tell us if you saw these results coming or if you learned something here.

JUNKYARD 5.3L SPARK PLUG TEST. HOT PLUGS VS COLD PLUGS-WHICH ONE WORKS BETTER? HOW TO TEST SPARK PLUG HEAT RANGE. TESTED DENSO IK16 (HOT PLUG) VS DENSO IK31 (COLD PLUG) ON ALLL-ALUMINUM, 5.3L L33 EQUIPPED WITH BTR RED HOT CAM, FAST LSXR INTAKE AND LONG TUBES. ALSO TESTED TAPERED SEAT PLUGS VS GASKET SEAT PLUGS-DOES IS CHANGE POWER? ONCE AGAIN WE HAVE TO ASK-WHEN IT COMES TO IMPROVING LS POWER, SHOULD WE EVEN BE LOOKING AT SPARK PLUGS?
