Rather than just grab this car and make it run and then head to the track, they have been methodical about making sure everything in it is okay before going out and beating on it. They have done this in a methodical fashion to make sure stuff is right. When going through the suspension with the guys at QA1, they found a few things and those have now been fixed so that testing can continue. But this test session didn’t go exactly right.
The Javelin adventures still continue! After sitting for decades, the Sally’s Speed Shop crew have saved this thing, made sure the engine was okay, got it running, and are now about to go make some hits with it at the race track! Yes, this is happening. Watch.
The videos in this series show how they found and saved this old AMC drag car after it had been sitting for more than 30 years. There were all kinds of adventures, history, and more that came along with the car, but ultimately it had still just been sitting and that’s not good. With a 431 cubic inch AMC under the hood, that was built to be a drag race engine, it was going to be interesting to see if the thing had survived after all this time. And who better to have take a look before breaking something than our friend Lake Speed Jr. Then the original owner saw it for the first time in years.
Now the adventures continue.
This is a super cool video series, so watch the latest here and use the link below if you haven’t seen all the videos so far.
