In the third episode of this new Polishing Turds engine project, Pete is going to be pulling the cylinder heads apart to see what is necessary to make them better so this little supercharged small-block will make more power. I’ve often referred to Peter as a beer powered CNC machine, as I’ve seen him spend untold hours making cylinder heads bigger and badder, so I’m sure he’ll give the full HED treatment to these bad boys.
In the first season of Polishing Turds on the Real Good At Doin’ Stuff HED YouTube channel there was another small block that got the love and made considerably more power afterwards. In this new season, our pal Cody is getting the Polishing Turds treatment for his 360 cubic inch 23 degree headed small block. It has just over 9:1 compression, and is force fed boost by an F1X ProCharger. This new season of not only interesting to me because it’s Cody, but also because this combo is very similar to our own 400 inch F1X ProCharged small block.
In the first episode, you saw the cool S10 that the engine is in, and saw it run on the chassis dyno at HED. In the second you saw it getting pulled apart so it can get the full HED treatment in search of more real power. We’re excited to see the entire process, and you should be too.
