Factory Appearing Stock Tire, aka FAST, is a racing series where muscle cars run head to head and have to look like they did when they came off the showroom floor. We’re talking stock exhaust manifolds, full exhaust systems, etc. They have to look stock, and they have to run on the “stock” tires that they came with from the factory. So how in the hell do you do this and run in the 9’s? We’re talking mid 9’s by the way, not just a 9.999 or something.

Yes, these engines are much bigger than stock, 560 cubic inches in this case. Those stock exhaust manifolds have been Extrude Honed so they flow a lot more air. The car uses the “stock” intake manifold for the 427 and it has the factory style Holley carburetor on top of it. With that said, the car does run a Holley EFI system in it. They aren’t using it to control fuel obviously, but the ignition and data logging are all handled by the Holley. Check out the video and you’ll see what is really working with this thing.
