Testing Motion’s Pumpkin Spice Mustang For Sick Week!

Testing Motion’s Pumpkin Spice Mustang For Sick Week!

Sick Week is coming up, starting tomorrow actually, and Doug Cook is taking a whole “new” car on the adventure. But first, it needs a bunch of new parts and that is all happening right here in the final build video before testing starts. This is going to be fun!

To call it new is funny, because it is the car that started it all at Motion Raceworks, but this thing is awesome and it needed some love and some upgrades before heading off to Sick Week 2023. In this episode of the refresh, it gets tons of new parts, and some love in the form of a polish job from Mr. Sam himself. Check out the video below, along with a link to the first video in the series if you missed it!

This is THE car that actually started Motion Raceworks. Doug, Andy, and Brian were single dudes and spent every Friday and Saturday night working on this car and then taking it to the track. The three have started an empire with the bond created around this car and Doug is thrilled to have gotten it back and into his garage.

The plan is to get this thing ready for Sick Week, which is coming up soon, and to drive it for the entire week and see what kind of times they can lay down with it. It was a mid-8 second car when Doug owned it before, but they think Pumpkin Spice can dip into the 7s and we don’t disagree.

It’s a clean car, but it does have some original things that will need to get some updates for safety and such. Some maintenance items of course, and then the current Motion Raceworks catalog of stuff will have to get thrown at it but with the original car’s personality in mind. I can’t wait to see it in person and am glad this thing is going racing soon!
