The DD Speed Shop Gasser 1964 Nova: FIRST DRIVE! – Trouble Free?… I Thought This Was DD Speed Shop.

Well folks, if you have been paying attention over the last week or so you’ve seen all the cool updates on this Chevy II Nova Gasser project from DD Speed Shop. This thing is legit cool, and all the work has been bolt-on stuff thanks to a killer kit from Speedway motors. I mean just look at all the attitude this sucker has, and without needing to know how to fabricate a gasser chassis. It couldn’t be simpler on this one. It’s still got a few things to button up though, and that’s what this video is all about. I tell you I’d cruise the hell out of this thing and do big burnouts with it.

What do you think? Would you cruise town with it?

Well…. We finally made it to the end. This car went together FAST!

In about 2 weeks we managed to go from a stock 6 cyl “grandma” cruiser to a completely wild street freak/gasser. And today we get to take this hot rod for a ride around the block.

There where a few last minute things to be taken care of before the drive:

-Final steering column install / tail light wiring

-Double checking the front end and giving it a tape measure alignment

-fire extinguisher

-Exhaust and drive shaft clearance with a BFH

Then we hit the open road! What do you guys think? It drives remarkably well!
