Leaf springs, friction shocks, and tires that are about as wide as a deli-slice of ham are where the real entertainment factor of the car come in. Or in the case of Johnson, the lack of entertainment factor.
He hated it.
And we love the fact that he said it and explained why he did not like it. With no experience in a car of this vintage before, Johnson’s impressions are raw and because he seemingly only has late model race car handling and performance to lean on for background, we can understand why he did. He hated the way the car felt and how it seemed to be ready to tip over in the corners.
