(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – Now we move on to muscle cars and this one is made up of the non-GMs in attendance.  Remember we didn’t have time to get into the track area during daylight hours and thus we missed what was likely at least a thousand cars.  We know for a fact there was a whole section of Dusters, Demons and Valiants that we didn’t see.  We’ll do better next time.

To start off the first three engine compartment images are six cylinders.  We’ve got a turbo-charged leaning tower of power, then a 200ci Ford followed by a 258ci AMC in a Javelin.  All cool and interesting.

The red Galaxie 500XL looks every bit the cruiser capable of easily stretching in two zip codes at the same time.

Green Mark Donahue edition Javelin.  I can’t recall ever seeing one in person before this.  Awesomeness.

Plenty of early Mustangs in attendance from fully-restored to survivor status and beyond.

This brings us to the immaculate black Dart Swinger complete with a 340 and 4-speed.  It was also for sale.  If I had the cash in my hand I’d driven it home.  Check the Cragars and redlines.  Oh my.
