Awesome Shop Profile: A Look Around and Into Blakeney Motorsport In England

Awesome Shop Profile: A Look Around and Into Blakeney Motorsport In England

The Goodwood channel on YouTube has been profiling some amazing people and businesses over the last year or two and we’ve really been enjoying seeing the places and hands that make the amazing machines on the race track tick. This look inside Blakeney Motorsport is stunning.

The immaculate shop houses everything from chain drive cars from the WWI era to some of the most lithe and beautiful sports cars of the 1960s. They are a full service enterprise from engine building, chassis, body, engine dyno, etc. The place is staffed with craftsmen who likely love the cars they are working on like the owners do (and occasionally hate them like the owners do as well).

What’s kind of fascinating to us is listening to Patrick Blakeney talk about the “development” of classic/historic race cars. There’s still plenty of work being done to make even this old iron go faster and it sure sounds a bit of a modern cat and mouse game with tech inspectors and all. Racers are racers are racers.

Enjoy this beautiful look at the shop and the machines within!
