Freiburger’s RESTO RESCUE Part 2: His ’72 Road Runner Looked Good, But Now It Should Run And Drive Too. Or Will It? Ugh…

Freiburger has owned some cool cars during his magazine and tv career, but not all of them are pretty. This Road Runner here is the exception because it is in fact pretty. Unfortunately that beauty seemed to only be skin deep, and David had to do some real work to get it in ship shape in the driveway in preparation for a road trip. That meant pulling the engine, doing a bunch of work, and putting it back together.

But what did he screw up?

Watch the video and see how it turns out.

Video Description:

This Mopar had it all! Nice paint, decent interior, 440 engine, four-speed trans, Gear Vendors overdrive, 3.55 gears. It’s a ’72 Road Runner, among my favorite body styles. I snapped it up…then everything went wrong. In part 1 of this budget-conscious rescue series, I pulled the 440, fixed all the loose bolts, cleaned it all up, reinstalled it, and got it running. This time, it drives! At least briefly.
