We’ve showed you many videos over the years featuring people wrecking  their cars during “spectator drags” races at local circle tracks. The premise of the spectator drags is pretty simple. Two cars are placed on the track and they run either one or two laps, the first one crossing the finish line wins a plastic trophy, a few bucks, a bag of crystal meth, whatever the promotion happens to be that night. In this case, we see a Ford Ranger that has been hot rodded taking on a Jeep Grand Cherokee of all things. The Jeep is getting the better of the truck, so the driver of the Ranger decided to come off turn four hard.

As he was transitioning from the turn to the short straight the driver lost the handle on the pickup. Watch as it slides sideways and he desperately tries to save it. Because the truck is wearing massive “donk” like wheels, it gets to sliding sideways and then before the driver knows it, the thing it on two wheels and then on its lid! The truck is summarily totaled and we hope the place the driver was renting the wheels from takes them back. The one redeeming thing is that it sounds like the truck had a V8 swap as the driver nails the throttle in a desperate attempt to save the race rig and it sounds pretty decent before it capsizes. In all sincerity we’re glad the guy was not hurt. This was a bad one and the truck has no roll protection in it so he got away with one here.
