We’re loving this series of videos that RideTech is putting out to educate potential customers with regard to their products, the benefits of said products, and how they can be employed to make your car ride and perform better. This video which is a comprehensive walk through of the RideTech Track 1 modular spindle for C5/C6 Corvette suspension is fantastic because it answers lots of “why” and “how” questions about the unique product.
The construction of the spindle starts with 7075 T6 aluminum, a material that is lighter and stronger than chromoly steel. It continues with ARP fasteners to keep all the parts bolted together, and motors along with cool features like low friction ball joints, a dedicated camber pad for racers who are constantly checking and tweaking their setup, and a load of other features that Bret will tell you about.
The real brilliance to us is that while these are designed for use on C5 and C6 Corvettes, they have been thoughtfully engineered to be very easy to use on custom builds that use a different chassis but the C5/C6 components to underpin it. There’s also C7 style hubs available that are a big upgrade here as well.
