Take A BangShifty Photo Tour Of The Richard Petty Museum – Incredible History Here

(Photos by Joe Grippo) – We all know and love Joe Grippo as a dyed in the wool Mustang guy here at BangShift and that means there was one of two places he was going to be last weekend, Vegas or Charlotte for Mustang festivities. Grippo and his wife chose Charlotte because they’re east coasters and it was a more sensible trip. They also chose it because they knew that they could make some time for themselves to explore cool places in the Carolinas, which there are hundreds of. If you have never been to the greater Charlotte area, you’d be amazed at the car culture there from NASCAR to trucks, these people are all in.

The clan Grippo made some side trips and this gallery is a look at one of those trips, which was a visit to the Richard Petty museum in Randleman, North Carolina. This is a pretty amazing place with cars, memorabilia, the active Petty’s Garage shop, and a whole lot more going on. Grippo admitted to us that he’s not much of a NASCAR fan but he wouldn’t miss the chance to visit a place like this where so much American racing history lives and we feel the exact same way.

We don’t have to tell you who Richard Petty is and if we do, please leave now. Leave like your hair is on fire because not knowing Richard Petty is a mortal sin around these parts. In this collection of photos you’ll see a ton of awesome race cars, parts, and a glimpse into the shop as well. A great photo tour by Joe Grippo and there is more of these to come so stay tuned!

    Shouldn’t this line read “is”?
” We don’t have to tell you who Richard Petty was and if we do, please leave now”

OK , I will allow This. King Petty was one of The Greats. I was at the 1968 and 1969 Daytona , back before it was Nascar, when we Called It Stock Car racing. What the Hell has That have to Do with Banshift?
