Powell Machine Inc. is known for building some pretty impressive engines, and for being experts in valve train and lifter technology, particularly in those classes of racing that require a flat tappet camshaft. For years they have blueprinted and tested lifters, camshafts, and more to make custom parts that work and live. But that isn’t all they do, by a long shot. This small family owned operation has excellent equipment and the knowledge to make the most of it. That means precision machine work, and engine building practices. I like watching their videos because Daniel Powell is really good at explaining what is happening in the engine building process, how the machines work, what they are trying to accomplish, and why. If you pay attention, you can really learn some stuff watching his videos and taking advantage of his years of experience.
